Default Squeak/Creaking low speed bumps

So I've got some creaking going on at low speeds only over small bumps. Sounds like it's coming from the passenger rear area. It's an 08 with just under 28k miles. Anything in particular I should check? Maybe a bushing giving out or the strut giving out? I'm not noticing any issue indicating the strut being blown, it's just an annoying creaking. I didn't realize how noticeable it was outside the car until driving through a parking garage with the windows down on Friday.

Thanks! I have a feeling it's coming from the strut. What's odd is that over speed bumps, no sound at all. it's only over little subtle bumps in the road.

Also, this seems to be a creaking sound, and the sound will happen if I push down on the passenger rear side of the car.

There are no struts on any 2IS. Sounds like a bad bushing, not a shock absorber.

Are you the first owner?

I am the 3rd owner, might as well be second owner though because the second owner only had it for about 2-3 months. Apologies, meant shock absorber, not strut.

I was wondering if maybe it was a bad bushing on the sway bar, so figured I'd go ahead and replace those first. It only had 26k miles when I got it but it is an 08 which I know is a decent amount of exposure time to the elements for the bushings

Do you have drive on ramps? Like rhino or race ramps? It's easiest to do this then have someone push down on the car while you look for the squeak.

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust? i had similar issue due to the passenger muffler hanger rubbing against the tip housing.

Factory exhaust. But I guess I could check the factory one as well.

Replace or lube. Either will be fine unless you're looking for a mechanical performance improvement. Then get some polyurethane sway bushings and keep them greased.

That's probably the route I'm going to go, as I'm looking at the F-Sport sway bar, and would pick up some poly bushings from Figs.

Appreciate the help everyone

Default Unsettling bump update

So my FIGS bushings arrived today and have been installed, the original rubber bushings were definitely aged but not as bad as I anticipated. I had a very disturbing moment though when i got under the car. I don't know the technical term of the part, but the end link is connected to the sway bar and something else, a black square metal piece. After sliding under the car, I saw the bolt going through that piece and through the end link had NO NUT. The bolt was literally just sitting there loose with nothing holding it place. I'm thinking the tension between that piece and the link was the only thing holding onto the bolt. I don't know what would have happened if that bolt had actually slid out. It was a very disturbing find, fortunately I had a nut that just happened to fit on it so it's now secure. The squeak and creaking from before is gone, fortunately.
