Hello all. I was curious regarding your trunks and the carpet piece that is at the top that folds up and fits under the trunk gasket. I hope that made sense. Does yours stay under the gasket or hang down off of it and not really stay under it? The person who owned my car before me had some stereo work or wiring of some kind and I think the person taking apart the trunk damaged the top piece so it doesn't stay put under the gasket. However, before I concluded this I wanted to ask you guys. Thanks!

The left side of mine is missing one of the slide clips so it droops down a bit, the rest of it fits well. I don't quite understand how one of the clips is missing but it's a trunk trim piece so I don't care all that much.

 

Mine hangs down a little in 2 places. It bugs me when I open the trunk but usually forget about it pretty quick. It also hung down on my 08 is350.

 

Left side of mine yes. the glue came off the clip to the trunk carpet. It's absolutely infuriating.

Looks like about $279. I'm missing one of the plastic pieces too that is on the piece where the trunk arms go through the carpet. My lady friend thinks I'm nuts going over the car like this noticing all the little things missing or that should be fixed. I've been following the car since it first came out so I plan on keeping it a long time but don't want to freak out about every little thing - but I can't help myself. : )

 

I will get mad enough one of these days to try gluing it. Let us know if you have any success outside of buying a new carpet.
