So, Recently I have been thinking and bouncing this idea off in my head for quite some time. I am not sure if anyone has though about this or has already posted about it but, Since the RC F gets the bottom half of its engine from the IS F wouldn't you be able to replace the top end or just swap the RC F engine into the IS F and use its ECU also. So you wouldn't just have a fast IS F you would have a "f*** me sideways that's fast" IS F. hahahaha Also, Its transmission is from it too but reprogrammed. Would these idea somehow possibly work? Sorry if this sounds too crazy. lmao

Yeah man, even if you could.. the amount of money putting the engine into the ISF isn't going to be worth it.

Dont think its as simple as that

you'd have to think about all the things spidered into the ECU

Im just saying lol I thought of this because people have swapped 2JZ's & 2UR's into 2IS's so I was thinking why wouldn't this work? I know it will be very difficult but I don't think its impossible.

sure but engines were more simple back then.. and the swap would end up requiring a full stand alone (motec) just to control it.. and the car will end up just being a race car rather than a reliable and somewhat luxurious fast sedan

Sounds like a crazy idea to me. It's not like the earlier days where an LS7 engine can fit into an RX-7.....lol.
