Dumb question: Removing quad tips
Please help. Is it possible to remove the quad tips without either removing the exhaust or rear bumper?
I want to remove them from my recently purchased '08 F to clean & repaint the black grill part. I wrestled around with them for about 45 min. last night after breaking off the heads of the bottom 2 bolts on the drivers side (and yes, I pb blasted them first). Ended up with a face full of dirt, pine needles and road crud.
How many more bolts are there? And can they be reached without removing the mufflers of bumper?
Any comments & input is appreciated.

^ This. Basically you have two bolts under the fender liner. These are the only ones that are kinda annoying to reach. Two more behind the little plastic covers near the tail lights you see when you open the trunk. And then four plastic push pin things on the underside. After that, just reach behind the fender liner and carefully pull off on each side. You'll feel it unsnap three or four times. After you do both sides and pull the bumper back a bit you'll just need to disconnect the parking sensors. Be ready to place the bumper on the ground in a way you wont scratch it.

Thanks so much for the directions. You guys are awesome. I'm a newbie with the car & website (see post count), but have been active on "MR2OC" for many years. I've had my 2008 F for a month now, but still can't believe what a great machine it is. And that there's an equally great enthusiast community for it as well.
