That's standard bedding for any new pads. When you go out and do it. It's pretty easy to get done.

You'll just need to find an empty stretch of road to do this. Try a business/commercial area during the weekend where it's pretty dead so you can easily speed up and slow down back to back.

haha in reality most people never do this. They pick up their car from the service drive and just drive the car home. Some people will say they always do. All I would say is ask your mother if she beds in her brakes on her car, or your sister, or 99% of people. LOL Just do your best.

Yep, I do my bedding in on the freeway at night after a brake job. Little to no traffic and plenty of room to speed up/slow down.

I was told when bedding to do this.

Do a 10mph roll to stop applying very gently
do a 30mph roll to stop applying peddle a little harder
do 50mph roll and slow down not to a stop but apply harder then the 30mph breaking.
keep going up gradualy and hit breaks harder and harder.

Obviously dont slam them as you don't want to warp pads.

As everyone said above. Most people dont do this so you should be fine. I always just take heavy precaution.

I followed the Stoptech street performance instructions to the T in an industrial park by my house.

Here's the RB carbon ceramic brakes bedding-in process, I did mine early Sunday morning when hardly anyone is out on the roads yet

RB CCB Bed-in Procedure:

Carbon Ceramic rotors, unlike iron rotors, require longer bed-in time before developing an optimal performance. Less bed-in or over bed-in will affect the braking performance.

Please proceed with the following steps:

Initial Bed-In: (System warm up & engage rotors and pads together as one unit)
  • Speed: Gentle stops from 50mph (80kmh) down to 20mph (32kmh)
  • Pedal strength: ≤50%
  • Repetition: 20 times
Heavy Bed-In: (Friction layer formed between rotors and pads)
  • Speed: Heavy stops from 90mph (145kmh) down to 75mph (120kmh)
  • Gradually Increase Pedal strength: 30%→50%→80%
  • Repetition: 10 times
Cool off Bed-In: (System cool down)
  • Speed: Stop from 50mph (80kmh) down to 20mph (32kmh)
  • Maintain Pedal strength: ≤50%
  • Repetition: 20 times
When you finish all above steps, the rotor surface should look shinny which is an indication that the bed-in procedure is successfully completed. If not due to variable setups and road conditions, repeat the above steps.

Just find an empty road, typically late at night. I've bedded and not bedded all sorts of brands of pads, and it doesn't seem to make a big difference.
I have a couple sets of Stoptechs and they absolutely squealed like crazy, even after bedding and a few track days. They are high dust too, but good price. Good luck!
