Default HOOD heat extractor( like RCF)

I really like the vent in the hood on the RCF, is it really functional? if so does anyone know what it directly beneath it ( like what part or the engine) ..I have seen the ones for the ISF people have done( don't really care for them, but think the one from the RCF would look really cool on the ISF, pondering some how fitting one on the ISF hood.

Could've swore when me and a couple of the socal F members saw the RCF at Riverside, the hood WASNT functional.. Also you can get the Seibon CF hood, decently good way of extracting heat.

It is functional, very small vent under because of the huge undertray. You can remove the undertray, 4-5 plastic clips, for better ventilation

maybe a single opening. I have seen the after market ones with the 3 slits on each side and it looks like total over to me , especially when the car is on stock wheels and suspension

Wink RC-F Hood Scoop

Here is my IS350 with the RCF Hood scoop.. spent $60 with employee discount and paid to have it molded to my hood. Body Shop charged me $50 to cut and install. Love it ! (But i do want to get it bondo'ed on to make it flush, right now it sits about 1 cm about the hood.)

Cool

here another pic fron the side, Yes I did get the Water/ Dust collector with the scoop -Joe Z
The first night i brought the car home with the hood scoop I didn't know if it was truly functional, but then I placed my hand a few inches away from the vent and i could feel the warmth from the engine moving up..(when I drive I know for a fact air does come up from the front grille through the hood just like noted in the diagram above.)

The car looks good but the hood looks horrific. Extremely out of place. Sorry.
