Here is my IS350 with the RCF Hood scoop.. spent $60 with employee discount and paid to have it molded to my hood. Body Shop charged me $50 to cut and install. Love it ! (But i do want to get it bondo'ed on to make it flush, right now it sits about 1 cm about the hood.)
I don't know if I would recommend getting it "bondo'ed". Because a hood flexes with opening and closing, the bondo may just crack and not look very good after a while. But consulting with a reputable body shop first is probably the best bet.
The unit from the model with the carbon fiber hood might(?) be a smoother install. It mounts from below the hood… maybe a little metal work and it could look oem.

The body shop that i'm using recommended a material that stronger then bondo but takes longer to cure called Dynatron Fiberglass Fillers. He said its more expensive but worth it in the long run. The hole that my scoop is on now is going to be cut to the size of the scoop so that its flush, and my hood itself will be raised.. the renderings he let me see look really good and i cant wait to see the final product

The scoop I bought was "carbon fiber color matched" but my dealership would not let me buy a real carbon fiber scoop because there was no option for it, which is strange because Lexus makes a carbon fiber hood for the RC F. The material im going to be using is called Dynatron Fiberglass Fillers, my body shop said it is stronger then bondo but cost more..

Not possible because there is no drop in unit for the CF HOOD...
Unless you mean just the mesh piece...? Which could be made out of any mesh... !
sorry for bringing this back from the dead. but i recently saw pictures of someone taking the center section of an RCF hood and modifying it to fit an ISF. anyone seen this recently?
is the member probably better known here?

It was an aftermarket RC F Carbon hood.. Cut out and layered into and IS F hood frame shell (sorta)
