I've read that there were some significant suspension changes in the 2011 and later IS-F model. For those of you who have driven both, particularly on the track, would you say that the difference really is significant?
And- if so, is it anything that couldn't be accomplished with some suspension mods on a 2010 or earlier model, perhaps for less money than a newer model?
I personally haven't driven a pre-updated IS-F but from what the press/auto journalist say, the difference is pretty huge. I mean an updated 2011+ IS-F is faster by 8 seconds around Virginia International Raceway, 8 seconds per lap is pretty significant.
That's stock for stock though, I'm confident with the right aftermarket parts you can make an 08-10 IS-F own a stock 11+ IS-F. I'd say start with a real LSD, that seems to make the biggest difference. You won't go fast unless you put the power down right?
2011 is better than 2010, many other small interior upgrades too that add to the value as well as a new steering ecu, not to mention thicker steering wheel, etc.
