Default HELP! - Nav accuracy issue

So I installed the Toyota iPod adapter over the weekend, install went well (pic below, I chose to run the cable through the centre console instead of the glovebox) however, now my Nav doesn't work in terms of accuracy. I'm not getting the "GPS" indicator I'm supposed to get in the upper left corner. I did a little research and consensus seemed to be a Nav cable issue, so i took the head unit out and checked the cable. It actually wasn't fully plugged in, so I pushed it in and thought the issue would resolve, but it didn't, the Nav is still not working. Any other ideas of what the issue could be? Does the Nav need a "reboot" of some sort to detect the GPS signal again?

Thanks all,
Rob

No, waaayyy off. I can manually calibrate it, and it's accurate for a bit, but the further I drive the more and more off it gets. I believe because when it's not picking up a GPS signal it navigates by tire position/rotation etc.

First: Evil Teo you're a genius, my GPS signal is back! Thanks for the advice.
Second: What the F? How does the ipod adapter affect the GPS, did I have it connected wrong? So you can't have the Toyota iPod interface AND GPS? Weird.

Thanks again!

Might be a faulty ipod adapter. I would either buy another one or try to get a replacement.

How about a link to the Toyota Ipod Adapter that you installed. Perhaps the unit is not compatible with the IS-F

I got it from Sewell, it's listed as being compatible with the IS-F

I'm going to re-install again this weekend, just to confirm it is actually the issue. Maybe when I uninstalled it i fixed a wire that was originally lose by chance?
