Default when the nav loses your position...

My nav tends to lose my location maybe one a month... it usually corrects itself in a few minutes, but last night it got totally lost and I had to manually adjust my location. Maybe I should bring it in and see if there's anything they can do about it. But I was wondering, instead of having to manually fix your location, is there a way to force the nav to communicate with the satellite to find your location? I figure the nav is communicating with the satellites periodically, but last night the system was completely lost... I'm glad the system didn't get lost while I was in an unfamiliar area, but I want to be prepared if it ever happens.

Have you searched and read the previous threads? Might want to start with the one: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=230294

The nav is supposed to be communicating with the satellites any time it can get an acceptable signal -- you shouldn't need to force it to do that. From my observation, it needs to lock four satellites before it will update its position (even though others have said that it should be able to do it with three)

Some folks have indicated that a software update helped, as noted in the thread I've linked.
