Default Battery level question

Hey guys just went to lunch with some friends and the took them for a ride in the F. When I stopped the car and turned it off I wanted to show them how the car sounded when it sarts up and the car hesitated to start for a second. It has been normal since. My battery level reads about half way to the top. Is that normal or does that indicate that the battery is at 50%.

Just trying to see if I need a new battery . Thanks guys

The volt meter doesn't reflect battery charge on a scale of 100-0, it shows voltage. The mid point is normal.

Thanks for the response guys. I have never owned a car that had oil temp gauge or a volt meter. The F is the real deal. Thanks very much

if your car is on then the alternator is charging the battery, at that point the reading will always be 12 volts (mid point) or up. Mine does that every now and then Lexus said my yellow top CCA are not as high as the optima says it should be anymore. Ill have to get a new battery soon. I think Ill go with the red top this time.

I appreciate the response guys and all of the patience with the dumb questions. Have to say the ISF forum rocks and the members are very cool and very passionate about their cars.

Middle is normal! When I start it it's one level above "normal/middle"
Congrats on your new car and enjoy it! Counting 8 months of ownership and I still can't help but look back at it when I park the car and head over somewhere...

CL is like crack, especially the ISF forums. I visit the ISF forums most often according to my browser, hah

On cold start sometimes my battery meter is one bar above the middle. But after warming up it stays in the middle bar.
