Well, if you're still interesting in pursuing this mod, this is the specific DIY thread that I used to install the module:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...installed.html

The instructions are for the ISx50s but I'm fairly certain the procedure is the same for the 08-09 IS-Fs with the Gen5 Navigation systems (I'm not sure about the Gen 6 HDD Nav systems). It's a pretty easy mod to do yourself but it can be time consuming as you are trying to be careful not to damage your vents, the dash, etc.

when projectdna said "nav hack" he's referring to cutting wire i guess

both prestigious and beatsonic has override kids for 2010+. i have done it and work well

That's what I was thinking...I figured he must know some way to splice and/or trick the system with a wiring mod.

I had PS on my LS460 and it was great. I could watch movies on long trips ( well the passengers would lol), and could use inputs while rolling. With the 2010 the input ease in amazing and the voice command is perfect in my experience

I ran a switch to bypass the NAV CPU when I want to use NAV while car is in motion. there is an excellent write up on the forums on how to do this. Basically when the switch is engaged you can input data while the car is in motion, when disengaged the NAV unit operates normally. Yes you cut wires, yes you must drill out a switch blank for your switch. (located below \ left of the steering wheel)

Beat Sonic has worked perfectly for me. The only drawback is that it takes few minutes for the GPS to come back. Google Maps on my phone works better than the stock nav anyway.
