Nav hack

I was able to use the nav system with the old trick; MENU/AUDIO/press corner, etc until I upgraded the Nav DVD to a newer version. What is the trick to use nav while driving?

The hack does not work for newer software (I believe 7.1+).

According to the information I have, Version 5.1 was the last one that allowed the hack.
The lawyers got to version 6.1, and it no longer works.
If anyone has more information, please post it here.
