I don't think they make an option without their chrome tips.

As Shadow mentioned, they don't currently have the option without chrome tips (someone feel free to chime in if they do now).

There are a few members that have painted them black and they look great.

ISS Forged originally talked about releasing a factory tip style DES and reducing the costs for no tip orders (i think they offered no tips for $150.00 off or free shipping etc).....I do not know if they ever produced any this way.

If you don't want the tips but really want the DES grind off the welds on the outer chrome finishing pieces and cut the inner tips to the correct length if trying to install them and retain the OE look. It would not be that hard to do.

The green taped area is the chrome finishing piece and you can see the inner tube going inside the tips. Its the reason why the tips stay cool when under operation, there is an air pocket between the two tips.

Quite frankly, with the rise in cost of the ISS forged DES exhaust now, I do not know why anyone going this route would not take the JOEZ, already fitted to go with the OE tips and a very similar sound and end HP result!

My DES system just arrived and getting installed next week. I would also like to keep factory tips. I might look if there is a way to get some sort of mesh like this to put around ISS exhaust tips to make it look more OEM. Not the tips just the mesh.

Exactly. If you want to use the stock tips, you should just go with the Joe Z or Borla catback exhaust. Then you don't have to worry about cutting off welds and stuff...

It would be a nice fit and finish, but the knocking and rattling would be crazy as its attached to the muffler, unlike the factory finish OE tips...and the reason why Lexus probably calls them down-force aerodynamic pieces and designed them this way!
