Default Steering issue

I hear and feel a thumping noise coming from the front wheel area as I turn my steering wheel to backup from my driveway. I'm slightly lowered on Tein springs and don't think thats the issue. Has anyone had a similar experience? It tends to only happen when I initially backup. If I park in my driveway and backup again I don't hear the noise anymore. Any suggestions or ideas?.

Thanks

My wife noticed this yesterday, but I believe it's just the tire slipping a bit on the concrete when the wheels turned all the way. I am lowered on Swifts and did rub on the front right tire when turn all the way as well. Used a heat gun and molded the liner back a bit. Solved that issue, but still get some occasional tire slippage.

I have something similar to what PhiDeltBee described when backing up with the wheel turned all the way to lock. Always scares the crap out of me though thinking that I ran into something.

I don't think its tire slippage in my case. The streets are dry in socal..I have yet to check if the tire rubs when turned all the way. The funny part of this is that it only thumps once. When I perform the same reverse move again, I don't hear it.

Turn your wheel all the way to the left and check you front passenger tire to see if it's touching the liner. My buddy had Teins and said he'd get a bit of rubbing there especially when on a slope. That's where I used the heat gun.

I'm on stock suspension and mine does the same. It even does it sometimes when I have to make a very very sharp turn. like the ones where the corner is a lot less than 90 degrees.

mine does that at full lock

I'm 90% sure its due to the electronic diff locking up one wheel for a sec

No, it's the big squishy bushing at the rear of the front lower control arm loading up and suddenly releasing. They all do this under the right circumstances until you get rid of the fluid filled Pillsbury doughboy bushing.

What bushing are you using to replace it? Figs? I hate that noise that it makes as well

Still waiting on the verdict for the solid bushing. I have the spares on the shelf right now waiting to press the replacements in once Figs tests the solid one.

Mine is stock and does it in reverse with the wheels locked left or right, especially when it is cold! Sounds like a loud thumping. The first time it happened I thought I had a flat!

Figs bushings does the same, my wheel still rubs the liner. Only solid bushings will solve this.

Just as a follow-up, My F only thumps when it is say 20 degrees or colder, but when it warms up outside, nothing.
