Try adjusting the map scale from 100ft to 700ft or 1mile and see if it helps.

Does not help. Just because the scale is larger doesn't mean it'll help it speed up the gps speed.

It ended up being my DVD bypass causing issues with the navi. Switched it off and it works perfectly now although its not perfect, it puts me on the wrong road sometimes but fixes it quick.

I'm having this same issue with my rx. What did you mean by DVD bypass?

DVD bypass is a method used to be able to use the gps and other functions normally locked when the car is in drive. It normally comes with a module and a switch to turn it on and off. you should look into the RX section to seek the answers you are looking for.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I posted months ago, and received no response. I'm hoping the dvd bypass will resolve this issue.

The youtube video posted is very similar to my issue. I have purchased a updated maps version 12 and they not improve anything.

I then purchased another DVD navigation player. I installed it today and that still has not resolve the issue, however it seems to be slightly less delayed.

Can you please point me to the changes you made in the DVD bypass menu?

Thank you!

It's not a menu, my car has a switch that lets me play DVD while driving (DVD bypass). I turned it off and my navigation returned to normal.

Where would this DVD bypass be if my car had one?

Do you guys have any other ideas what the issue could be? Could it be the antenna on the roof?

I jumped on the freeway today and issue is still there. The car is just at a stand still and lags.

Thanks for your help!

Every installer mounts it differently, mine was at the bottom of the steering panel near the brake pedal
