Default Corvette guys

Had my F for about a month now and on several occasions a guy driving a Corvette wants to race. The guys and the cars are different but might as well be the same, mid to late 50s, balding head, mustache and either alone or an ugly bleach blonde hag that looks like her prime was during the Smokey and The Bandit era. Yes their cheese **** yellow vette is prob faster than my car but i won't lose any sleep at night. These losers make Mustang guys look cool

Corvette's are way too unstable in the wrong hands. I wouldn't risk racing one. There's a good chance he'll lose grip and wreck both yours and his car.

Check out Corvette fail vids on Youtube.

Now, I don't have an ISF yet. Word is that it's at Long Beach port since Monday, how long does it take to unload and move to dealer? Dealer is an hour's drive away from port.

I've had a hard time keeping up with Corvettes in good hands at the track. I've also blown past a few driven by drivers who were still trying to figure out which way to turn the wheel to steer the car. A good driver in a Corvette will just drive away from you no matter what.

To Hoovey the most recent was a C6 vette but the other time is was a late 90s or early 2000 vette with the pop up headlights

I think that statement goes for any car... it all depends on the driver and the driver's experience behind the wheel.

I live in St.Pete near the beach so it's full of middle aged divorced guys driving convertible sports cars trying to race people, lots of red Boxsters, yellow vettes and a couple old school guys with Magnum P.I. Style 328 Ferraris

Corvette's are unstable in the corners? I have never heard this.

None of the ones I have driven on the track were.

The base model C6 (latest model corvette with non-pop up headlights) weighs in at ~3200lbs. Our F is around ~3800lbs. A Corvette will out corner, out accelerate an IS-F any day. They are also very easy to work on.

Now if you are goofing around on the road (which one shouldn't do) anything can happen.

Be safe out there.

^ Totally agree. The C6 Z06 is an absolute dream on the track!

I haven't tracked my moms vette maybe it just is the feeling I get being that it's so long in the front I know the z06 handles great from all I've read ... The old guy following me in the canyonsb migh not have been the best driver like others have mentioned a lot does depend on the driver. I seen a zr1 a few days ago and that thing is bad ***

The most important part of any car is the nut behind the wheel.

^Lobux is right, but I ran with my friend's bone stock C5 z06... I am also bone stock... he beat me by a car length each time (25-80, 40-100, 60-120), but ONLY in a straight line. Even if the road had a little bend, he would refuse to keep accelerating. It seems the Vettes have a lot of wheelspin as well.

I couldn't imagine how much I would lose by if I raced a C6 though...

I'm a Vette guy (modified C6 w/ OEM C6 Z06 rear widebody conversion.) We're not all hairy chest, balding, gold chain wearing douche bags. ha ha My GS4 is still my favorite car though. ;-)

And, it gets annoying sometimes having plenty of people rev up next to me when I'm in the Vette. Sometimes it's a compliment or cool nod of acknowledgement. Other times they just prove that egotistical nutjobs come in all makes and models. ha ha
