Lowered + Dealership?
What sort of proactive measures do you all take prior to taking your F to the dealership for service (e.g., oil change) due to your low stance? I took mine in for them to reprogram (add) new TPS on my new wheels and luckily spotted the newly installed speed bumps at the service entrance. It would not have been a pretty sight going over that speed bump (seemed very high). Luckily, an attentive sales manager looking out the sales window saw my conundrum and told me to enter the garage through the back entrance that did not have speed bumps.
By no means is my car slammed, but I am concern when I do need to have service that requires the car to be raised via a lift, will the dealer have clearance issues? Can anyone with experience share?
I hope it's just a matter of telling them to be careful, and that I don't have to raise my V3s prior to heading to the dealer.

i was in the same situation trying to get an alignment from the dealership. i told them to let me know if the car is too low to go up the ramps. they thought it was ok but realize my car was too low so i took it to another dealer which was able to get it up the ramp.
I worked for Toyota for 8 years, most dealers are very cautious of lowered cars and/or modded cars. Trust me, they don't want to be liable for any damage what so ever of your modifications. Some dealers though.... They don't care at all.
I had no problem with my F lowered on KW V3 and lip kits on in dealership, but yes, please tell the manager be careful and walk them around your car before/after service to make sure no damage...
Btw my car is not slammed, but low enough with lip kits barely can be on the hoist on couple wood stands...

Your best bet is to check the local section of the forums and search for mod-friendly dealerships around your area. Certain dealers know exactly what needs to be done, so stick with those.
I'm surprised you have to tell the manager to do that. For my dealership, that's the first thing they do when you arrive. The guy is really good at it too...points out every scratch, swirl, and imperfection on my car

By the way the manager told me in Austin, the tech dont know how to put the mechenical lift under the lower car and end up the side skirt break into piece... WOW, shock me... So I did work on BIGMIKE car careful and he was happy and satisfy...
I've heard that about McGrath from a few folks. A drive from Bolingbrook isn't bad at all. I'll just have to give them a try if the Naperville one doesn't work out. Thanks.
My sc430 is lowered on TTE Springs and has a Wald kit on it which brings the sideskirts down about 2 inches on top of the TTE drop which is about 1". The manager there told me that for oil changes and stuff there are no issues and that they would only have issues with allignment. I have lifetime allignment at Firestone and Ive been hesitant to go and get an allignment....Might just pay out of pocket at a local tuner shop or go back to the oem sideskirts.
My G was slammed... I let a lot of people drive it, dealerships/valets/friends - of course its gonna scrape time to time and at the end of the day why would I get mad??? Its to be expected - its a lowered car
