Can anyone help me figure out how to replicate this grill that cm09578 had on his ISF. It looks like a painted grill surround from Sewell with some kind of small holed mesh and the F badge off of the rear. What do you guys think about it?

I like it. I think people used the stock grill, painted it, took off the stock plastic mesh thingy, and bought some wire mesh at Home Depot or somewhere and just installed it.

 

There was a thread about it. You can get the expanded material on Ebay. The big box store gutter guard mesh is thinner.

There's a lot of sizes and materials (stainless, aluminum, steel, and copper) available if you search using "metal expanded" in the Business and Industrial section.

i have the stupid radar in my grill... I wonder if there is a way around that as well?

I think with enough people on a group buy and deposits down I'm sure somebody could make one for us.

I searched every thread on this. Every one of them.

Not one person said what kind they got. 2 people said home depot. I've been to home depot, then lowes, then some other place... None of them have this grill.

they're all grills that have too big of openings.

I want the one that CM0 has.
I pm-ed him too. No PM in return yet. I don't know why this fawkin material is such a secret. I've been to the online recommended aluminum stores and it's nice that you can pick your size and deminsion but there are no pics of said material.

This is overly fawkin complicated for those of us that simply want to know EXACTLY which material was used.

I know where Figs ordered his from.... But yet again. Same shet. He didn't release what size perforated sheet he ordered.
This is like a lost fawkin cause with some people.
I'm tempted to order every damn sheet of aluminum in every shape/size hole diameter so I can make a thread that says "This.... this is the magical sheet spec you all want"


The next person that tells me to go to home depot and just get a sheet that's in the fencing department I'm gonna slit one of my wrists. I've been to 7 fawkin home depots.
