Default Borla Cat-Back Installed

Just had the cat-back system installed a week ago. Bought it from shop in Chicago area for $1k, including shipping to northern cali. I had it installed at a local muffler shop. Took them about 2 hours. Based on what I've heard about the Joe-Z system, it sounds pretty similar. It definitely is much louder and deeper. It quiets down when cruising. But, with any acceleration, the car sounds like a beast. The car feels a little quicker to me, but that could be all psychological. Anyway, I'm very happy with the result so far. This car now sounds like a true racing machine!

No dyno results, and don't plan to do it. The 10-20 hp gains don't mean anything to me. I'll try to get a video clip sometime in the near future.

safe to say that's the case. i've had catbacks on my last 10 vehicles. never have i felt a difference. it's purely been about sound and looks. not to say a few hp isn't picked up in some cases, but in a 416hp 3800lb car you're not feeling it.

if i find someone local with this catback i want to hear it.

That's not a bad price...just want to confirm, this is the "off-road" full system, right? Did u happen to snap any pics when the car was up in the air?

Not sure about the Borla, but the JoeZ catback picks up around 20 ponies. I hope that I would be able to feel that!

Sorry guys, no pics taken up in the air. Yes, it is the "off-road" full system. Borla has the instruction manual on their website that shows some pics.

Another norcal member posted his results with the Borla and he said it was considerable louder than the JoeZ setup but........I think he did the catback only setup, not the full system you have so yours could be even louder than his!

I think loudness is all in each person's individual taste but as long as you like it

Should have mine soon so we can compare in person!
