Tom's GT Shifter Installation?

Hello Everyone,
I was going to attempt to install a Tom's GT Shifter harness in my F this weekend and I wanted to see if anyone could give me some tips. Yes, I already searched but I didn't really come across anything specifically for the F. So if anyone has already installed one, please let me know if you can how to go about doing it. There's nothing "specific to the F" for this install. I'm not sure if there was a DIY for this or not, but it's exactly the same procedure to install it in the F as it is for the ISx50 - all the interior components you'll be removing are identical. Remove shift ****, remove side trims and center console, plug in GT shifter, and reinstall all the trim pieces and shift ****. My install took me about 30 minutes, but your time could vary depending on how slim your fingers are.

It reverses the console shifter wiring so the transmission will "upshift" (for us ISx50 folk LOL) when pulled back, and downshift when pushed forward, which for me is a much more logical and natural programming for the console shifter. Sorry I don't have any pics to share, my car is in the shop right now.

can you please let me know were you purchased the Tom's unit. I also feel pulling back to upshift is much more intuitive and have been waiting for this type of mod. Thanks!

I got it from one of the forum vendors, A Spec (Do a search for them). It was $60 shipped. I just finished installing it...pretty simple to do and I think it was definately worth it...Darshana S...
