Default Borla exhaust

Just saw the exhaust on their website. Disappointed that is not a true dual exhaust and asking $899.99.. The only bright side is that the muffler's are quads.

Good find Interesting they only did the rear section (like Tenabe). I wonder if there are any vids, sound clips or dyno material floating around out there.

I was just checking out the web site and there is another version listed w/o tips off road for $1299.99. Click the link and scroll down to Lexus part #12656

Did you get your SRT ecu reprogramed? what were your whp gains? I am asking because I have the SRT as well but I haven't gotten to dynoing. How does your car feel? Acceleration? Have you hit the track?

On the IS350 you picked up almost 15 peak hp and 13 peak tq with the off-road borla exhaust. You got about 5 more hp and 4 ft/lbs compared to me with my Tanabe/Megan combo. So I'd say Borla did a very good job at making power, but the quality of the exhaust was severely lacking and had some resonance noise issues.

Thumbs down on the axle-back Borla. I would have liked to have at least seen some replacement tips. Cat-back looks interesting, though.

Borla put some more pics up on the site and installation instructions. Design looks descent and the price of $1299 isn't bad. Curious to see who ends up getting this exhaust and their feedback.

I am wondering what the gains are going be? Similar to the JoeZ?

Considering both systems incorporate an X pipe, 2.5" piping, high flow mufflers and some form of straight through resonator, I'm willing to bet the gains are nearly identical. Sound and quality will be the two differing factors.

Right, IMO, Borla quality has never been very good. Look at the cheap clamps they use vs the flange connectors used on the JOEZ. IMO, Borla

I wonder if anyone would be interested in getting a group purchase together. I would be in for the JoeZ, but considering there isnt gonna be another GP in a while and the limited stock, I figured the borla might be worth a try. If so, post up. Let see if we can get a vendors attention.
