Default Front Height

The back is naturally low, but the front is so high up? Can I just lower the front?

You could buy springs and only put the front on although I wouldn't recommend it. You could also buy a set of coilovers and set it to the back to where it is just a tad lower and dump the front. You definitely do NOT want to cut the springs on this car though. I wouldn't even consider that option

The pictures on the website of Lexus show the ISF in the front nice and low, and then there's a little disclaimer saying that the car may not be exactly as shown.

I mean it's not a huge deal, but I think it would look more sporty. Just an idea, not really serious about doing any modifications soon. ....not yet anyway.

Yup, more sporty but oh well. If it was that low stock, I probably wouldn't have much of a front bumper left with all the steep roads around here

What is your primary concern - appearance or performance (pick ONE, can't have both)? That really dictates what you can and cannot expect from making a change like this.

Actually it's higher on the front from the pre-production model because of clearance issues.

Wheel clearance or lower lip clearance? How did Lexus change it - spring rate or preload? Knowing this would help a lot for those who are contemplating lowering the car but don't want to compromise the car's track performance.

Front air dam clearance like it was for the original IS300. First year production IS300's in 2001 were lower than those made for 2002-2005. As for spring rate or preload, I will ask them.
