Default ISF Performance Accessory Line By Lexus

To debut at SEMAby Lexus - Possibly some high performance addons available by the dealer ? ? That would be sweet to not void the warranty...

Yes, the parts will be available through your Lexus dealer by TRD USA. Parts will include a new high flow exhaust, bbk, sport springs and shocks, swaybars, c/f engine cover, and forged alloy wheels.

Let's hope that also some REAL performance accessories are offered, and not just the same ones that Lexus offered with L-Tuned. I'm talking about turbos/superchargers, headers, cams etc.

For the IS for now. Possibly for the GS in the near future.

Fair enough, but then what would you call the whole L-tuned program?

I'd call it predictable. Exactly what I expected. All show, no go. Typical TRD unless you're a race team with a big budget. How long has TRD USA been around? Since 1980 - something? Baby steps after more than 20 years?

Maybe it's better this way. Maybe they learned something with the Scion tC superchargers - customers don't like brackets that break, and they don't like input shaft bearings that cook because they're too close to the exhaust or improperly torqued by dealer techs installing them. Customers don't like being accused of illegal mods to their kits when they haven't made any. Customers also don't like accessories they can't include in their dealer financing when they buy the car new.

Maybe they've learned. Hopefully they'll finally figure out we'd like something reliable, affordable, and with the ability to make our cars embarrass the competition. But I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Doubly sad is the fact I can buy all kinds of engine internals and management from my Yamaha dealer if I want to race my R1, but I surely can't get beans from Toyota even through TRD unless I bring a multi-million dollar cheque.
