So I finally got Techstream to work... Great video, where he walks you through setting up a Virtual Machine running Win XP 32bit and then configuring Techstream.
I was able to get directly into the "Retractable Hartop" Live and could see the error code of "B2563" "Motor Lock in Package Tray Motor Circuit"
Now to figure out where exactly this is and how to troubleshoot it / replace it... or whatever it takes. :-)
Based on this DX code description... I'm thinking it is the center, not LH or RH, Package Tray's motor. I can feel the tray try to move when the open / close switch is moved, but it just a little jerk.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for those who posted problems and answers for convertible top issues.
2010 250c that has had intermittent issues opening and closing for maybe a year now.
Finally decided to act on it and carefully removed the dash trim and removed and reconnected the switch wiring and sure enough the top opens and closing flawlessly.
So happy it was something so simple and easy.
Again thanks to all for posting solutions to issues people maybe be having.

Definitely check my thread. I did the same thing and I had to eventually replace the switch within the year.
The issue I suspect is when you open and close the top, since you have to hold down the switch through the whole process, is the plastic flexes a bit from the trim panel. Eventually given the age of the car and plastic britality, it starts to crack and separate. I noticed when I'm holding the switch I inevitably press harder and harder while it's going up/down.
I would advise you replace the switch. It's a $120 OEM part, but it's easy to replace and will save you a major headache. If you aren't wanting to pony the $ up for that, at least carry a paper clip in the glove compartment so if you're away from home in a surprise rainstorm and stuck, you can at least short the pins to close the top at a gas station.
