Hi, just introduced myself over at the 2IS board. Figured I'd say hi here too! (But unless it's Convertible Specific, I'll probably be posting there more often).
Welcome! I’m a newbie owner also (3 weeks on a 250). I’ve found some significant differnces from the standard IS already so time here will be well spent.
Front end looks the same but there are small differences in lights and grill. The only other issues I want to tackle are the rattles...
The best fix for me regarding rattles was wrapping some hockey tape around the hook/hinge on the rear Window (there's a youtube vid on some post here). I also used rubber treatment on all the contact points (used it for my BMW, but works great here, it's called Gummiplege).
The hockey tape took care of random "popping" noises from the top. The rubber treatment took care of everything else, the car is like a vault now!! Super quiet and not a single noise/squeak/rattle.
Hey.. welcome aboard!!! I see that your car has DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL!! I guess I'm not the only one now!! You lucked out finding one! I special ordered mine.. the Mark Levinson system is nice too.. looks like our cars are similarly equipped. I'm in SoCal in the Palm Springs area.

Thanks Tom, yes, it took almost 8 months to find one (strangely, no sedan had it, go figure), it's an absolute must for me. Apart from the Convenience of DRCC, PCS saved me big time once in my previous car, so I was willing to pay a premium for it. The good news is the seller had no idea what it was!!
That's great, maybe next time you're in LA (or I'm out there) we can have a quick meet!

How do you like the DRCC? I'm not a fan of the 5MPH increment thing... and it seems slower to respond than then 2012 Prius I had that had it.. But like you, i'd never own a car without it... Once you use it, it's hard not to have it. I'm not in LA very often, but would love a meetup with other ISC owners at some point.. would be fun.

The trick around that is to accelerate manually with the pedal, then set the cruise control. I had a 2014 Prius plug in and I'd say the response time is about the same to adjust, I usually keep it at the 3rd distance setting. Used it in thick fog this past weekend, and loved that it kept my distance, didn't even think of that application!
