You should definitely take the car in. The remote start via the fob is free for 10 years I believe. Just to be sure, the third click is held?

I think the car has to be locked already too? Then click, click, click & hold. Damn Rubiks Cube to remote start just for it to turn off when you open the door

Did you "register" the app/vehicle by clicking the SOS button and following the steps? My key fob remote start didn't work until i did that.
