Remote Range?
What is the range on your remote to lock or unlock your truck?
Mine is currently 30 +/- feet I recently replaced the remote batteries and saw no improvement.
On my Toyota it is 200 +/- feet easily..
I am just trying to determine if a trip to the dealer is needed.

Why the concern about the distance? 30 feet sounds more than sufficient. When your battery gets really low the distance generally decreases. A trip to dealer would not be needed, in my opinion. You cannot open anything until you get to the vehicle, so why should a greater distance matter.

I've used the chin to remote method and it helps but the range on the Lexus remote is horrible in my opinion.
