They say when it comes to cars there's always a tradeoff between Cost, Performance, and Reliability, and that no car has ever achieved the highest marks for all 3. I believe this is true, and I've come up with a ranking system that proves this. Introducing....MACMASTER'S ULTIMATE CAR RANKING SYSTEM:
The higher the score, the "better" the car for the average person. For example, obviously a Porsche 911 is a fantastic car...but not for the average person!
The score cutoffs are completely subjective but I believe they provide a reasonable insight into each category. Disagree with me? See the results. Try it out for yourself!
The IS500 does reasonably well! At least as well as any other car I've put through the test.

Cool spreadsheet! May I suggest a category for 0-60 in under 3 seconds? It'll give a bump to cars that deserve it. Many of the sub 3 second 0-60 cars are ~2 seconds faster than the other 5 point cars in the 1/4 mile as well which is a HUGE performance difference.

Yeah great idea. Using only the 0-60 metric to rate performance is far from perfect but keeps things really simple.
