Default 2018 Safety System

I'm on the fence between a new 2017 and a new 2018 with Safety System. Worth the money? Opinions on the system welcomed!

Thank you. Glad to hear it. We've had several RXs and loved them (but found them a tad boring). Looking forward to a smaller, sportier NX. Thanks again. Jim

I agree. We have the same combination except we don’t have a his or hers, they are both hers. I think many people just don’t appreciate/understand the benefits of the hybrids.

We have also had two RXs and enjoyed both, but that model is just becoming too big for us. The NX is a better size for us.

Couldn't agree more about the hybrids. Have a 2012 CT200h and a 2017 NX300h (which replaced a leased 2015 CT200h) in the garage now...

I too would want the safety systems. The model of NX 200t 2017 that I purchased had the full suite of safety systems that was available in 2017. I believe that the 2018 system is better with collision avoidance from higher speeds and pedestrian avoidance.

I test drove a '17 and loved it until I saw the IIHS report on the advanced safety features. It didn't come to a complete stop in either the 12 or 25mph tests. I'm trying to figure out if the refresh of the NX for 18 includes a BETTER system than what they had, or if they're throwing the same system in. It's ridiculous that the RAV4 aces the tests, but this can't.
