Mine actually happened at around 3556 miles as I was on the way to the IMSA race at Laguna Seca. I drove it another 53ish miles to the Laguna Seca area and another 200ish home after the race. The car drove normal up to me having the gasket fixed. The check engine light actually went away on the way home as I was driving.
Oh my goodness…that’s just horrible. #InstantHeadache
This topic has gone pretty quiet as I'd assumed everyone's gone through their gasket repairs (if required) but I've still got a CEL issue.
I had it come up after about 5K kms but it wasn't the gasket related issue. They diagnosed that the idle was off so my dealership just ordered a new ECM from Japan. It was replaced a short time ago but the CEL came up again this past weekend. I now have just over 10K kms. Like the first two times before ECM replacement, the issue comes up when driven in moderately warm weather and in heavy traffic for at least 30 mins (with lots of stop and go).
Just wondering if anyone else has recurring CEL issues?
Not for too long…She will not be a garage queen. I just haven’t had as much time to enjoy her as much as I would like.
Same with @giS , he’s out there hustling and hasn’t had time to put the miles on. Me? I drive 11 miles just to get a lottery ticket twice a week. My butt can’t stay out of this thing! 😎
