Default Rotor rust

Have a 25 with the glossy wheels. Every time I wash my car the rotors have a layer of rust as they dry. Drive the car and the rust dust is all over the wheels. Not brake dust. Any solutions?

That is fairly common in all the cars I've owned.

My RC was no different so when it was time, I replaced them with Dynamic Friction rotors that were "Geospec coated" and they still look great after a year.

Nope. Coated rotors help the vanes to stop the rust, but surface rust will likely continue. It's a big iron disc with water on it, science happens lol

You can do the RCF carbon ceramic brake setup No metal, no rust!

Even worse is when the pads lock on to the rotor after a wash so when you drive off the first time after, there's a loud bang as the brakes unseize. It happens when I wash it at home and there's no distance to heat up and dry the brakes.

Its flash rust from water. Its common. It goes away after you drive the car and use the brakes. I normally take some compressed air to blow the rust off the wheels.

Yeah this is totally normal; happens on both my IS 500 and the wife's X3 whenever I hand-wash them because I park them shortly after, which allows rust to form on the wet rotors.

I try to turn OFF the parking brake after I wash so that doesn't happen Just that first park in the garage.

I've tried that and it still does it but not as bad. The only other cars I've had that did that were my Minis .
