Installed power folding mirrors
Good job on doing the retro fitting. I went a slightly different route and got LHD mirrors from Norway which enabled everything to bolt up with zero issues. As a plus my mirrors were both convex glass which was awesome. The problem with the JDM/RHD market mirrors is like what you stated the folding action is different. We ran into this in the subie world when people would add power folding mirrors and notice that the passenger side would fold in way more than the driver side and it would be slightly off via the angle of it being mounted.
Lexus is so silly for how they don't include options on US based cars. It really is mind numbing how they deem what should go where. That's one thing that I can't stand about Lexus. You can buy a toyota for half the cost and get power folding mirrors but spend $80k on a Lexus and no folding mirrors....smh.

I thought the issue might be due to the different mirror dimensions. I did the same as our friend who bought his mirror from Japan. I thought it would be an easy swap, but it wasn’t at all. because I bought a different color and had to swap everything internally and not only the outside plastics.
The Auto function isn’t working either, as you mentioned. I bought the control unit from a used 2014 Lexus and only used the necessary buttons and the internal control panel, have you found any solution for the Auto function? Also, what does JDM mean?
I used all the internal parts from the original mirror except the actuator mount, I was surprised that it did not fold all the way.
I used my original glass mirror so I had to cut the two wires that goes to Auto dim from left to the right side as we only have driver side dim.
please let me know if any solution for the Auto function and the folding angle, finally if how to calibrate the 360 view camera, they need calibration after reinstallation. I know how to get there Menu bottom + three tuns of the light control lever but it is too difficult to calibrate, I missed up everything.

Same with EDM - European Domestic Market,
USDM- United States Domestic Market
From what I gather Auto will NOT work. At least on the two platforms that I retrofitted mirrors to, the auto function doesn't work since it was never a native option in the states. My CT that I retrofitted mirrors to, I also used everything from my mirror housing except for the JDM power actuator. They were bolt in though so it wasn't a big deal. i did find a module that folds/unfolds the mirrors when I lock/unlock the vehicle. I have found no such module to work with my RCF.
For the dimming, you probably could have just gotten the passenger side module and had dimming feature as well. Someone on the earlier IS group retrofitted power folding mirrors and in fact did get both mirrors to auto dim.
For calibration of the cameras, I would imagine that's something you'd just run through some initiation through TechStream. Find someone that has it and take a look. That other connector in your other post/picture is probably for the camera inside the mirror, yes? I don't have that on either of my cars, but every Lexus that I've seen that has the 360' camera system has cameras in the mirrors and those are the connectors for them.

. I have seen many cars were they install the Auto function when they all have the folding function only.by module, you mean the black square computer ASSY outer mirror control ? I thought that would work but then I saw less wires coming to the module so I though it is missing the wire the connect the auto dim to the sensor in the back view mirror and the module would be expensive too.
the auto dim is not good anyway compare to the previous Toyota Avalon I had 2011 were is darken very good. now it is only darken well in the inside mirror.
IS 500
almost the perfect car (regardless the gearbox
)but those small tiny thing really is ruining my experience even though that they are silly. the IS almost have everything AUTO.by the way, here in the GCC market (Gulf countries, Saudi, Kuwait, UAE..etc) we have folding but no 360 view camera and heating for the out side mirror.
I am thinking to move my Lexus to Europe if my car would pass the their strict regulation ( they offer me to have my car under 10 years Lexus relax warranty ) hopefully they will help me there, I will try to formate the compute and transform the car to have everything in the infotainment system EDM. currently almost most of the future are not working for me as my car is from USA (no maps for example).
so sad to here that the Auto function might never work.
