My 24 is due in a few weeks , no mention of power folding , you'd think with everything else power

2025s are coming out with power folding mirrors, you might soon be able to get everything you need durectly from lexus

Of course not to take anything away from the OP, cuz this thread is super helpful and informative.

that’s a very good point, any idea when they will release them? I’m guessing the IS350 will still have the same mirror as the IS500? Also do you think with the 2025 release, will it become automatic now?

I had them on my last 2 cars and decided to turn them off. Every time you turn off the engine, the mirrors fold and I concluded that it was an unnecessary gimmick that would just fail at some point. Sure there are some small garages where it might be useful, but you still must be able to open the door. I am fine without one more gadget that can fail.

Be nice if you could manually have them fold with car running like for pulling into a garage, doesn't do much good once the car is in the garage.
What's the purpose once your parked , but with all the bells and whistles these cars have its surprising they don't have the function.

My NX had power folding mirrors and it had a button to manually fold them as needed.

I believe the purpose is for narrower streets, to reduce the chance of them being clipped off by bikes/other cars when parked.

They are invaluable for me. I have them on my LC, but not on my Silverado. I park both vehicles in my two-car garage. The LC on the right and the Silverado on the left. I need to retract the LC mirrors to fit both vehicles, and since I Park the truck on the left, I can retract the mirror by hand. Same When I approach a drive-thru mailbox. Wish my truck had power folding mirrors Maybe someday I'll figure out how to install
