In the market for V8 sleeper sedan and came across the IS 500 the other day. Not too many in stock in Michigan but local dealer tells me they will find a 2023 and get it for me. We didn't talk prices yet. There are a few within 500 miles or so. Never bought a Lexus before, is it normal for dealer to do this? Will there be a 2024? If there is a 2024, any idea when dealer will start to take orders and what would be expected delivery date?

 

Welcome to the forum...the 2024 have been discussed in other threads but bottom line is there will be a 2024 IS 500. Another thing that is heavily discussed is the fact that you cant custom order these, Lexus builds them in various specs and ship to dealer via allocations. Based on you color combo,your dealer may or not get one so that is why calling around other dealer or getting your dealer to work behind the scene for you is necessary...best of luck!

 

It is best to get in touch with a dealership as soon as possible and let them know you are in the market. They most likely will only have a few allocations. Good luck!

 

Also be ready to travel out of state if you are very specific in exterior & interior combo. I am in SE Michigan & purchased my LE & Ultra-White from my same local lexus Meade Lakeside) dealer. However, my current car infrared with white leather I had to drive to Ohio & drove back.

 

I put a down payment to reserve an Infrared with black interior and BBS' at my dealer about a month and a half ago. I was told 3-6 months wait time. Will most likely be a 2024 model with that time frame.
