I'm running Pennzoil as I find the engine quieter than the dealer provided Mobil1 I got previously.
But like previously said, in these days, all good brands are gonna be way enough! Frequent and adapted to your driving oil changes will be more of a factor.
Pennzoil is excellent can't go wrong. I find Amsoil better in my cars but I have noticed in some engines other motor oil makes it run quieter, at least it seems like it. Can't say why. Amsoil beats every other oil I've tried for extreme cold weather starts.
Can't comment on the 2UR, but for my 2GR I've been running Pennzoil Ultra Platinum without any issues. And at least here in the US, if you use their product and register the oil changes on their website, they offer you a Powertrain warranty up until 150,000 miles I believe. Check it out on their website. They constantly have rebates on their website too that if you buy 2, 5 quart jugs you get $20-25 as a gift card, effectively making the cost of oil circa $25-$30. Of note, I've found that at least in 0W-20 weight, PUP is a pain in the *** to get at random times in the year, so I personally am always stocked up for at least a years worth of 5K OCI oil changes. Buy it from Walmart or Amazon as they have the lowest prices; NAPA and Autozone think they're selling gold.
Hard to justify the price of Amsoil. I "cheat" and run it on my winter car otherwise I buy the above. If I lived in a very hot climate I would run Amsoil.
LFA uses Mobil 1 from factory and that's what i've been using on my high mileage 350, I used to use Royal Purple but didn't notice any difference except for my wallet, tried motul before noticed after certain miles it just makes the car soooo sluggish, i am gonna give pennzoil a try. Anyone tried valvoline cuz many track day youtubers seems to be using it...
