Default Apexi IS500 non-resonated midpipe install

I just wanted to share my experience with my new Apexi non-resonated midpipe with stock mufflers. First, the install was simple other than getting all of the factory underbody plastic out of the way. Next, was the test drive with the car and I have to say this midpipe sounds outstanding with the factory mufflers. In my opinion, the car sounds the way it should have sounded from the factory. Inside the car just a nice sound from the exhaust with no drone and I will not tolerate drone. When you are outside the car listening to drive byes, OMG! Perfect sound that enhances this V8. Save your money from buying a valued system. This is a great option especially if you like the factory oval tail pipes. Hope this helps if you are weighing exhaust options, cost, and a factory look. Good luck.

congrats! did you use the supplied gaskets or did you buy oem? several members said to replace w/ oem gaskets in order to not get the CEL. mine has been sitting in my garage for some time as I have to find time and haven't had a chance to order or get the gaskets from my local dealer. will you be posting any sound clips or vids?

Any pictures of the installation? Would be nice to see what it looks like as it's not something you would see on the street.

Alright serious question: where are the missing underbody panels and center brace? It's suspiciously missing. Does it not fit the Apex catback?

I used the gaskets that came with the midpipe and had no issues. Apexi told me people are forgetting to remove the factory gaskets and installing theirs as well. That is the problem people are having. I had zero issues. You will reuse your factory gaskets at the muffler section. I will work on some videos soon. Thanks.

I had no issues putting the center brace back. Plenty of room and well designed. Thanks.

Did you notice the front Apexi gaskets are more football shaped (with holes on each end for the bolts) versus the OEM gaskets that are just round? Just got my Apexi midpipe in and am debating which to install.

I used the gaskets they furnished and used my factory gaskets at the muffler section. No issues at all. Just follow their instructions. You will love the sound of this midpipe with the factory muffler section. Thanks.
