Default 4IS Wheel Setup Question

Hi All,

I've reached a lot on wheel setups for the 2021+ 4IS. I see everyone is going and doing the "perfect" wheel setup which is a 20x9 +35 fronts and 20x10.5 +47 rears. Has anyone done 20x10's up front? I'd like to run 20x10 squared all around as I like the look of the wheels be all around ( especially concave) but then also good for tire rotation purposes. Is 20x10 to wide up front? I've seen 20x9.5 on youtube, but now a 20x10 front or all around. Please share pics if you do have 20x10's up front.

Not sure what you think a 4IS is supposed to be, but I’m pretty sure 20x10 is way too big for the current 3IS. Probably looks horrendous too.

yes 3IS with 20s is disgusting, perfect fitment with them are 19s.

the new body lines and wide front body styling of the 4IS I’ve seen 20x9.5 up front and they look great IMO, but the 20x9.5 is just a little behind the fender. I was asking 20x10 because I like the fender to wheel with stretch tire look.

20s are not unheard of on the 2021 and up, but yeah you may have to be careful with the offset and tire selection.

19 is the sweet spot for something that is still drivable but with proportional looks.

for sure! I see a lot of big wheel name brand videos on YouTube and it seems they like to run a 20x9 or 9.5 front +35 and rears 20x10.5 +47. Just never seen anyone do a square 20x10 +35 setup

99.9% sure you'll rub up front with 10 +35 wheels.

BTW, the 2021+ IS is still a 3IS, it's a refresh, not a new generation.

I am jaded now and have stopped correcting people. They'll understand when the actual 4th-gen car comes out. If they call it 5th-gen at that time, I will be a little upset lol.

I always thought the 2017-2020 was the refresh (Facelift, etc.)

The 2021+ is a 4IS to me haha!
Plus you can't direct swap much from the 2021+ onto a 2014-2020.

Straight from Lexus:
With the launch of the all-new IS in 2021, Lexus expanded on that legacy by sharpening the driving performance fundamentals through the introduction of Lexus Driving Signature, a key pillar for the Lexus brand.

Yeah I encourage you to post in one of the related threads to debate the 4IS-ness of this car... If you check those threads out, you'll know that my stance on it is that it's more of a 3.5IS. I owned a 2016 IS, and my 2021 looks almost the same in terms of interior layout, and feels largely the same to drive. Even the engine cover is the same. It's the same car, just heavily face-lifted.

Anyway, wheels.

Not gonna read through threads for people's opinions, what is Lexus calling it? That's what counts in the end, not a vote on a forum haha!

And yes, back to the wheel fitment.

This will be my last post on this topic, but Lexus still refer to it as the XE30 internally.
