Default Key Fob Doesn’t Work But it Recognizes When Starting the Car! URGENT!

Hello, I was attempting to install the sequential turn signal mirrors from Raymond Dang. I was able to install the sequential part but when it came to tap into the puddle light I guess I may have ripped a couple strands on the OEM harness for the puddle light and now my car doesn’t respond to the key fob. But it will recognize my key fob is in the car but when I’m outside and attempt to unlock, lock, open trunk, or panic it doesn’t read it. I know it’s not the fob cause I tried both of mine and put new batteries in. My car also started throwing this code which is B1244. I checked the forums and only found one person with a similar issue but his solution was a fuse which I checked and it wasn’t broken and even when replaced it still didn’t work. If anyone can help please let me know! I can’t lock my car so it’s definitely urgent for me to get this fixed. Thank you

notes- I drive a 2015 Lexus IS250 AWD F-Sport
- the sequential aren’t the issue because they’ve been working for 8 months and this only happened when attempting to get the puddle lights to work.
- I only touched the driver side
- I would assume even if I did rip a couple strands as long as they are all still touching it’s fine but then again I could be completely wrong
- my auto headlights also don’t work so I have to put my lights on manually at night

Okay, so I solved it with the help of Raymond Dang. For me it was a blown fuse which I found under my dash titled ECU-B. It was a 10 amp fuse and resolved my issues. So if you have similar symptoms even if you're not attempting to install turn signals you can still check here as I assume ECU-B is responsible for smart access system, auto headlights, etc. Also, Ray is a reputable and good seller in the Lexus community, but this is another testament to his customer service and ability to help his customers! I can vouch he is definitely someone you can trust with buying stuff from in addition to helping you if there are problems.

Always disconnect the battery before any electrical work.

It sounds like you tried tapping into wires without unplugging your battery. If that’s the case, you shouldn’t be working on your own car.
