Default smart key FOB

I lost my only key, I got a one from EBay, and had a locksmith cut and try to program it. After almost two hours he could not program it. He suggested taking it to Lexus. I already spent over $200.00. Before I go to Lexus, who wants to charge $375.00. Does anyone have any suggestions. I live in the Tampa Bay Area. HELP!

Your only options are another locksmith, with the right equipment, or a dealer.

I'd go to the dealer and get it done right, the first time. Perhaps they'd program 2, so you have a spare, for $375.

I have been putting off getting a key fr 10 months ow i have only had one key
but i did find out it was going too be 130 for me to buy a key from sewell lexus parts we get a discount as club lexus members
and then my dealer wants 179 to program it since thats what they charge for an hour labor
and sine all 5 keys have been maxed out they say only 5 keys at a time can be programed they have to go in and reset the entire computer for the smart key programming

How do you tell Sewell that you are a Club Lexus member so that you can get the discount? Is there a place on the order form or what is the procedure? I have lost one of my keys and need to buy another one and see that they have the key fob and the master key on their website.

Aaa basic will not reimburse for key replacment they will only do up to 50 for a locksmith to come out and get you in the car if you have gold or premier then you can get reinvursment of between 100 for good and 150 for the higher one
