Default 2021+ IS slow window roll up?

I’ve been in Lexuses before where the window slows down right before it rolls all the way up, even on my CT200. Surprisingly I’m not seeing this happen on my IS500. Kind of disappointing. Can anyone else confirm? Is there a way to turn this on in vehicle settings? I thought this was a Lexus thing.

The window slows down a bit (soft close) on my 2021 IS350.

I double checked mine and it definitely doesnt do this, on any of the 4 windows. Anyone with a IS500?

I'm planning to get window tints in a couple hours and was wondering if I should get this "fixed" before installing tints.

My 2021 does not do this. What options does yours have? Mine has the Navigation/Mark Levinson® Premium Audio Package and Intuitive Parking Assist (along with a sunroof which I don't know of it being optional anyway).

Whew. Ok thats a bit reassuring. I also have ML/Nav and everything the IS500 Premium came with. Pretty much the same options as you. But Coconut should too, and he says his does the slow roll.

Wait nevermind, is was confusing this with my 2020 GS350 which does have this. The windows on my IS350 do not soft close, they just go up at the same speed and then stop.

What's funny is, I distinctly remember my 2016 IS would do the soft-close thing. Wonder why Lexus removed it?

I wonder if its a byproduct of the chip shortage.

I called a couple salesmen I know and they said its normal; all the cars arent doing it now.

My 16 IS does slow down near the end of the process.

Thanks for the replies, and thanks for the clarification Coconut. I won't worry about it, I just didn't want to be the odd man out. My car is getting tinted as we speak! I'll show pics in one of the other threads later.

Really makes me wonder though if this is one of the areas Lexus intentionally cut corners on amidst the shortage. Maybe we can start a petition to get Lexus to retrofit it. I'm kind of surprised I was the first one to notice.

Next time any of you are in your 2021+ IS or a new Lexus, try it out if you remember - I'd love to get more data points on this.
