Lost FOB?
I, like the dumbass I am, left my FOB on the roof of my car yesterday, and drove off. Yes, I looked for it, and yes, it’s gone. I did have a spare, and a friend brought it to me.
So what do I need to do to get another one? I presume the new FOB can be had, and programmed easily, but what about the hidden key? Am I at the mercy of the stealership?
Lemme know please.
Sincerely,
Your Village Idiot.

^^ That is what happens when you listen to heavy metal music and drive too fast (lol) - Seriously, your dealership should be able to get get you a new fob and key but it won't be cheap. I am sure you could find some place you could buy it but the advantage with the dealer is that they'll make sure all is programed properly and such. I know we all hate to pay dealerships and such but sometime, to avoid all potential headache, it is worth it....that is just me anyway
When I bought my car used two years ago, it had one key fob. It cost $300 to buy a second one and have it programmed. The spare sits in a Faraday Pouch so no one can get the signal and steal the car. Every January, I swap keys to extend battery life.
When I was waiting for the key at the dealership, a woman told me she had to pay $1,000 to have a key programmed as she did not have a second key! My wife's used Infiniti QX 30 had one key fob too. I got a second one for that car too.
