^^ Personally, the best taillights on this 3rd Gen IS was from 2013-2016. I wasn't a big fan when they changed them for the 2017 MY and while the light bar on my 2021 IS looks alright, I would have preferred if they would have done the same as they did with the NX in that keep the lights more like an L with a separate light above spanning across the two L.
That is just me but if you have the 2015-2016 MY, you have, IMO, the best looking taillights!
Ha! I just posted a video of these in another thread.
I think they're brand new so I doubt anyone here has them yet. I saw them on an IS on Instagram being used to promote the lights. Only thing I don't like are the brake lights (dots), as they look a bit weak from time to time. Not sure how bright they really are.

I just bought a ‘19 350 FSport, and I like it’s style but prefer the new ones. This is a nice way to keep my car (cheaper and with the options I wanted) AND get the newer styling.
Yeah, the 2019 tail lights weren't my favorite either...I would install the 2015 version if I were you, would look more stock and better than this after market light bar in my opinion
As wthrman2 stated, I think the 2014-2016 are the best taillights. The 2017-2020 have those weak brake light lines, really don't like those.
As rvside's comment about "chinese resellers" -- 100%. All the carbon fiber parts I see sold anywhere on eBay or members here all come from China. You can easily find them on alibaba for significantly cheaper. I think the only plus might be that you may have some support buying it from someone in the US because they're most likely the people installing and testing the taillight.
In addition, I checked the Instagram of the person selling it, no video demonstration showing what these taillights look like when active. Someone brought up a really good point on these taillights about the rear view camera being blocked. The IG account owner said that they provide a new reverse camera bracket, so you would have to also be messing around with uninstalling & reinstalling the camera (I wouldn't want to do that, personally)
These connecting taillights work on some cars such as Porsches, maybe Audi-- I don't think it works for Lexus vehicles, to me, it looks like a space ship or something with a red light wrapped around the whole back end. I think Lexus should've went with this design for the taillights on the new IS's.

Found an install video on YouTube. Seems pretty straight forward. No more tedious than I expected it to be...
That's fine but do you really want to be a guinea pig for these 1st generation taillights? I'd wait it out regardless
Nah, I'm not interested in putting these in my car. I think they're interesting but I'm one who prefers the '14-'16 tail lights over the others. If I had a '17-'20 model I'd probably consider doing this swap though.

Off-topic, slightly, but... The 2017-2020 cars actually are pulling their styling from the LF-CC concept car, which previewed what looks like an IS coupe.
Personally I still like the 2014-2016 tail lights, too, but I admit that grafting the 2021+ styling onto the older cars works really, really well.

wow, yes the concept car definitely inspired the tailights fkr the 3IS.
and yah, I think the styling for the 21+ cars works pretty well on the 17-20 cars, I went ahead and ordered the lights.
Brake light looks very weak…for Germany not useable…also we got a rear fog light ( same brightness as brake light..).
It looks great but not that I will be pulled over each time from the Rennleitung and the car will be towed to the police …it’s so ****ed up here…
