^^ Thanks for the update - It always great when people come back and report the final finding I have to admit that they look very good and better than I would have expected....
Niiiiiiiiiiice. That came out looking pretty good. I definitely like how those look better than the black/smoked ones in their default pictures. Have you had a chance to see the brake lights in action? Do they seem bright and safe enough for daily use?
Have installed mine (will do some pics when car is washed). Fitment is gook, quality seems ok. Had to mod the supplied camera mount bracket to fit my factory backup cam.
Brake lights are bright enough (would have preferred a more solid look rather than individual LED's) Overall looks great
Look better in person than in pics etc
CASeoul - Think it's the camera in the video making it look like light bar goes orange. Light bar is red only
Kiwis300 - Lightbar and trunk lights are all 1 piece so non optional
Appreciate the response droth, realizing now that the individual leds are the brake lights. Glad it all looks cohesive in person!
Will look forward to your post wash pics.
^^ Personally, the best taillights on this 3rd Gen IS was from 2013-2016. I wasn't a big fan when they changed them for the 2017 MY and while the light bar on my 2021 IS looks alright, I would have preferred if they would have done the same as they did with the NX in that keep the lights more like an L with a separate light above spanning across the two L.
That is just me but if you have the 2015-2016 MY, you have, IMO, the best looking taillights!
I certainly agree with you. Design-wise, the best looking lights was the 2013-2016 style. Very distinctive Lexus L-signature.
