When you get them installed please report back here with some pics and/or videos (day and night if possible)

I'm really curious as to how these look from a customers perspective rather than a promo video from the seller.

I also wonder if the LED's on them are possible to be swapped because if the brake lights were brighter i'd really like this mod more

^^ Yeah, it will be interesting to see - It sort of uses a mix of the 2021+ and Audi sequential look. To me, these kind of mods are not my thing, it sort of cheapens the vehicle, reminds me of people putting a string of LED with teh headlights to make it look like the Audi when they first came out with it. I still think the OEM 2013-2016 tail lights would have looked a lot more elegant not to mention the risk of potential fitment or electronic gremlins these could potentially introduce. Might as well throw in an IS 500 badge while we are it

It looks great but not that I will be pulled over each time from the Rennleitung and the car will be towed to the police …it’s so ****ed up here…
Hard to tell if it's very bright but they briefly show the rear fog light at 19 sec mark in this video:

Brakes are still weak looking though.

Same. I definitely like the red ones better than the black ones. But I'd probably like these lights better if the brake lights didn't look so weak. Safety is my main concern with these. Hopefully, the brake lights are upgradeable somehow.

I will keep y’all posted! I’m sure I’ll be excited when they arrive. I also have an engineering background so I’ll pop open the lights and look at the board to see about swap possibilities. I’m not too worried - there’s the third brake light & these mimic the 2021+ pretty accurately I think.

I don’t agree, but I see your point. I think these are a bit higher quality than the crappy looking LED strips of yore, but we’ll see when these get delivered and I don’t know, if they look OEM or OEM+, I see little issue with it. Besides, I’m proud of the Toyota V6, and it sounds nice when j take off from the guard gates at work every day 😂

Yah! I mean, how you feel about something isn’t cause for anger, especially about car stuff. I hope I like them when they get here, because truthfully, I worry about them being cheap crap too. Thankfully, I garage my car when I’m not at work.

In some ways I prefer the way these look over the factory ones on my 2021. SMH.

yes you are right. It’s so small I missed it on the first run.

In fact- it’s not street legal to change the lights. Every safety relevant part of the car has a “e sign” an a patent number on it..that starts with bulbs…each part without a e sign can force you to not use the car ….in case of an accident the insurance will not pay because of illegal parts…to get a tuned car street legal is here very complicated and expensive..
The best part- every 2 year you have to! bring your car to a technical check up. They check also all e signs an tuning on the car for legal or not…something wrong you get no sticker and that means car is completely street illegall..

back to the tails…a buyer review is much appreciated. Lexus IS not so much known here…and I like the tails…😉

Tail lights and lights in general, but particularly the large main units are always a mixed bag. So many things have to come together right to be worth it.

1) Aesthetics. How's the design? Does it match the rest of the car? From what I can see already, I'm not getting a good feeling from those dots which I am assuming are the brake lights. They look small, uneven, inconsistent, and just generally the character doesn't match the rest of the light. Indicative of amateur design.

2) Plastics & build quality. Assume #1 passes. Does #2 pass? How's the plastics vs. fading in the sun? Will it fade / yellow in one year? Will it crack/splinter? Will it have moisture inside? In the case with aftermarket housings, the answer is usually yes to all the above. All lights deteriorate, but how fast & easily do they?

3) Performance. Light housings/modules (headlights, brake lights) aren't engineered ***** nilly. They have to conform to all sorts of standards. I see a lot of aftermarket junk that's either too dim, or too bright, or doesn't illuminate where it needs to.

4) Reliability. what if one side fails? One board? One LED? Or what if one side/one board/one LED just dims, and the other doesn't. Then what? Or what if the whole thing fails? I see it all the time with aftermarket housings. Camaro/Challenger/Charger/Civic/Silverado etc with light swaps and one side is dimmed, out, or faded or malfunctioning.

I think a lot of stuff people do to their cars is because they're bored--I know I've been there. But give things like this a long thought process before dropping your hard earned cash on something as vital and in your face as complete light assemblies.

It's not like a pair of $20 bulbs you can easily swap back out if you hate them.

yah, I’m hovering over the return button on eBay if they look at all crappy. You’re right - especially for headlights, these aftermarket units can be really crappy. I haven't had much experience with tail lights, but the cheap headlights I’ve bought for people in the past definitely didn’t hold up well.

I purchased these with my credit card that’s got purchase protections on it. If these crap out in a year or two, or the seller refuses to return them, I’m protected.

I might be a touch bored, but if these are decent, then maybe it’s worth it. Otherwise, meh, chalk it up to lessons learned. Mostly I’m posting in case anyone googles these.

That's who I ordered from, shipment has departed China so it's just a waiting game now.
I'm hopeful quality will be ok (had aftermarket LED tails on my 2IS which are still going fine after about 5yrs). I'll be keeping stock tails as a backup

has anyone on these forums tried these yet?
