The silhouette definitely looks IS-ey to me, and it appears to be IS-sized, too. Either an IS or an IS replacement. They may move away from the IS naming convention to emphasize the jump to electric power.
There was always talk about the next iteration of the IS being an EV...so no surprise there.
I agree with arentz07 that is looks very IS-like.
I'd definitely drive that over a Tesla...call me crazy, but I like my EV's not to try and kill me or anyone else on the road lol!
Although Toyota is partnering with Tesla on EV vehicles...I'd still prefer to be in a Toyota.
It definitely has IS lines going for it, I like the concept. Maybe they'll delete that dark two tone paneling it has and tone some of the sharp body lines back a bit, would look even better.
I'd buy one. It's very aggressive looking and has some LC500 in it too.
I think it looks great. I hope they make it competitive with the Model 3 in terms of performance and range. This would definitely be on my shortlist if it was competitive.

Apparently they will be going away from the IS name.
That sedan looks pretty good, but I really like the "Sportcross" looking one off to the left in the group shot. But even if it gets made I already figure it won't make it to the US since wagons and hatchbacks are dying platforms over here.
I actually like most of the proposed vehicles in the group shot. I just hope Lexus doesn't follow Tesla with the overly minimalist interiors. I don't mind some minimalism, but Teslas tend to take it too far. The Model 3's interior especially annoys me - no driver's screen/cluster, no hard buttons for the a/c or seats temperature controls. Call me old fashioned, but there are certain things I don't want to be forced to use on the touch screen.

I agree with others about the minimalist look too, to me, I hope Lexus will manage to keep an engaging looking cockpit with sexy styling cues - These concepts look very promising to me. Bison - So what you are saying is that in a few years, we will be known as driving a Lexus WAS 500 F Sport Performance since the name IS will be a thing of the past (lol)

IZ 550e F Sport Performance AWD+
I really hope it's not IZ haha.
When it comes to the minimalist thing, I think Lexus will probably take things in their own direction, like they've been doing recently. I suspect some Japanese cultural influence (think: the LS 500's interior) to set it apart from other brands.
