It's just my good naive wishes, lol. I would also prefer something that would give us good sound waves and mechanical feelings, not a quiet EV.

I owned an IS350 F Sport for 5 years and 60k miles. I feel my Model 3 Performance has far more "soul" and more enjoyable than my IS350 ever was. To each his own.

I've driven a couple Model 3s. Never a Performance, but both the RWD and Dual Motor versions. They were definitely fun. This weekend, I remembered why people say the IS has soul - the way it connects with me in the twisty bits. I can't say I've driven a Model 3 in that environment, so I'll reserve my judgment. Cars can be both fun around town and rewarding at the same time. The Lexus leans more toward the latter, for better or worse. I would bet that Lexus, free of the constraints of an ICE platform, could make a killer EV sedan.

The IS350 has such a beautiful exterior but the interior needs an overhaul...it just looks dated to me. Its not on par with the competition right now. They solved the powertrain issues with the IS500 but if we are talking about efficiency, an EV equivalent would be better. I'm hoping the new EV Lexus sedan will have an appropriate powertrain meaning it should be faster...way faster than an IS500 in its higher trim modes. Its not hard to make power in EVs so I'd be super annoyed if they de-tuned the car to play nice with its ICE equivalents.

The M3P dominates at autocross and track events...especially with an upgraded suspension. Even stock, it pulls 0.95gs on a skidpad and the acceleration out of corners is brutal...ruined rollercoasters for me (0-60 in 3s flat is far different than a 4s car) and no matter how hard you push it, there is no signs of mechanical stress on the car...it just goes. Its different than ICE but it has "soul" in abundance and feels fantastic...go read any review or youtube and they all say the some thing. My point is that being an EV won't take away from an IS...it will add to it and hopefully, Lexus will make a soulful EV so I can come back to the brand again.
