Default Brake rotors...

I have a 2015 IS250. RWD. Shaking badly after a brake change. I figured it was the rotors so I ordered some for the front. The issue is, the rotor does not fit in the caliper. It rubs against the caliper. As if the rotor is too thick. I double checked the part number. It's correct. From Autozone. I even compared my old rotor to the new one and the new one is far thicker. There's just no way that rotor can fit in that caliper without rubbing. Also, with it being rear wheel, could it be the rear rotors since the whole car is shaking and not just the steering wheel? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.

Just to confirm, the OEM part number for the front rotors is 43512-30310?
What rotors did you put on if not OEM? Brand and part number?

From your link this is the part number Duralast Brake Rotor 71911.

The diameter seems correct at 296mm...but I notice the Discard thickness is 30mm...and usually that would be about 2mm smaller that the rotors brand new.
For the IS250, the Discard thickness is 26mm, and the standard rotor size is approx. 28mm. It would appear, if the online listing is correct, that this rotor is at least 4mm thicker than what the vehicle calls for.

Where is rubbing on the caliper exactly? Since the diameter is the correct it should be touching the caliper, but if it is too thick, then it would be rubbing on the caliper bracket.

Thank you for the further clarification. This is the exact issue. It is a snug fit against the rotor. It has to sit just right for it not to slightly rub but it binds up because there isn't enough space in the caliper and rotor.

For whatever reason they say those rotors will fit your car, but clearly they don't.
Get another brand that will actually fit, and make sure the standard thickness is 28mm, or if they only provide the minimum/discard thickness, that it's 26mm.

Perfect! I'll return these and ask them. What is the thickness on the rears? I think I'll just do all four but don't want to run into the same issues.

Just buy the OEM rotor from Lexus/Toyota.

I haven't looked at my IS250 yet, but I believe the rear rotors are solid (no vents) in which case the standard thickness is 10mm.

FYI: Auto Zone is known for giving out and listing the wrong rotors and pads in their systems. I actually always replace Factory with the Auto Zone Gold brake Rotors. Those are some very high quality High Carbon hard metal content. They are cheap too cost wise. With them I only use the Akebono pads. They out last and out brake the Lexus/Toyota stuff at half the price.
