2022 Lexus IS 350 Ordering Information
the inventory manager at my dealer advised me against it because if the wax buildup on the seam of the PPF. Not to mention that the PPF is truthfully way too cheap to be of good quality. I’ve had the 3M port installed on my Toyota products and after 4-5 years it looks gross. So I didn’t add it. And she told me the same regarding the edge guards. I had also previously selected the rear bumper aplique but then I decided against it because of the same reason.

full bumper. Partial hood fenders and mirror caps around $1200 installed
full bumper, hood, fenders, and mirror caps for around $1900. So it all depends on what you want. My concern is with it yellowing and although xpel warrants it for 10 years I believe, I’m scared of it yellowing sooner.
I would generally agree with Tonio if you're one that has a lot of interaction with the paint. On the flip side, if you need time to save up for higher quality/more extensive PPF or plan to ceramic coat the car, I don't think the factory PPF is a bad deal. I went for the 3M option on my 2021 because I know I can't shell out nearly $3000 cash on top of the car purchase right away for both ceramic and extensive Xpel. Honestly, it doesn't look bad at all (it's hard to make out most of the time), but the car is also brand new.
