Default Luxury vs. Premium Luxury Package?

Hey everyone,

Is there a difference between Luxury Package and Premium Luxury Package? If so, what added features are included in Premium. I am waiting for my IS 250 AWD with Navi to arrive with Lux package, so I am curious.

Thanks.

don't know if this helps because I've never heard of "premium luxury" before but from the official Lexus website:

Luxury Package (AWD only) - $2,205
- Power tilt-and-telescopic steering column
- Lexus Memory System for power driver's seat (except lumbar), outside mirrors and steering wheel
- Illuminated doorsill scuff plates
- Power rear-window sunshade
- Rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers with mist cycle
- Electrochromic (auto-dimming) outside mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse
- Bi-xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps
- Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS)

Premium Package (RWD only) - $1,290
- Auburn bird's-eye maple interior trim
- Perforated leather-trimmed interior
- Heated and ventilated front seats

I thought the title "premium" sounds higher than "luxury" but that's just me.
Still waiting on my 250.

Didn't your dealer give you a brochure? The packages are shown there and on the Lexus website. I suspect that if I'd ordered a car, I'd have read the brochure so many times I'd have it memorized.

Charlesmsn: Yes it does help and thank you.
Bichon: I agree with you as this is what I did , but I was talking to a member in the Forum who insisted about the Premium Lux package, as he might have been misinformed by his dealer?

Before the car was officially released, the package was called "Premium Luxury Plus Package". At launch, it was renamed to just "Luxury Package". So far all purposes, they are the same thing.

The same happened to the Sports Package. It was originally called "Performance Luxury Plus Package".

Bichon, you're right. I've been drooling over the brochure since my delivery date never seems to get any closer.

Default Luxury Package

Last I heard (and saw on the build sheets), the "LD" -Luxury Package for the AWD IS includes the PT-Premium Package (perf'd leather, heated and ventilated seats, w/ memory system and bird's eye maple trim.

So it takes the option package price up to $3,495.

The spec codes on the LD option package are:

030D - AFS Bi-Xenon lights
047C - Heated and Ventilated Seats
071L - Luxury Package Option1(wood, memory illum scuff plates)
077E - Perf'd Leather Seats Upgrade
009D - Wood interior trim
